can’t I click anything on my desktop Windows 10

Ways to fix can’t click on anything in windows 10 error

  1. Try killing the explorer and then restarting it

This is one of the main reasons why you can’t click anything on your desktop as your windows explorer crashes and freezes which leads to this error. This in turn makes the mouse input unresponsive which leads to this error.

You can try to fix this issue by restarting the explorer with the help of the steps given below;

  1. Open your task manager by pressing CTRL-SHIFT-ESC on your windows 10, to begin with.
  2. From there, open the details tab by clicking on the TAB key up until it highlights the first tab in your task manager. Once you have done this, click on the right arrow key to switch tabs until it reaches the details tab.
  3. Now, highlight one of the processes by clicking on the TAB key repeatedly.
  4. Next, you will need to bring up the options when explorer.exe is highlighted by using the Option key.
  5. End the task by pressing the down key and then hit enter to execute the option.
  6. A black screen will appear which states that the windows explorer.exe process has been killed.
  7. Visit the task manager again and then press the ALT key to highlight the file again.
  8. Use the down arrow key to highlight the run new task option and click on enter to choose it.
  9. Next, enter explorer.exe and then click on TAB until it reaches ok and then hit ok to run the windows explorer.exe again.

Check to see if the left and right sides of the mouse work now. If you still can’t click on part of your screen, we suggest you seek the help of a professional.
